Spiderweb Hens & Chicks Sempervivum Arachnoideum, 10 Rosettes

$19.99

Spiderweb hens and chicks forms dense colonies of tight, evergreen rosettes of fleshy, pointed pale green leaves. Each rosette is surrounded by silvery-white hairs resembling spiderwebs. In mid to late summer, a thick flower stalk emerges from center rosette topped with bright pink, star shaped flowers.

Hens and chicks are monocarpic, meaning that once they flower, they will die. The mother “hen” prior to flowering, will produce several horizontal offshoots, the “chicks”. The chicks will establish their own root systems and become independent of the mother plant. While each individual rosette is small (1”-3”) they will quickly reproduce to form a dense mat 10”-14” wide

You will receive 10 assorted size rosettes. Each rosette will measure 1”-3”.

Growing Zones 5-8

Attributes: drought tolerant, low maintenance, tolerates poor soils, cold hardy, deer and rabbit resistant, good for groundcover, rock gardens and succulent gardens.

Full sun to partial shade in most well-drained soils.

All succulents are shipped bare root, carefully wrapped in tissue paper. Upon receiving your order, please open quickly and follow planting instructions included.

Shipping to all zones April 1st to October 15th
