Common Houseleek Sempervivum Tectorum, 5 Rosettes

$9.99

The common houseleek (sempervivum tectorum) is a beautiful, drought tolerant addition to any garden. Each rosette has thick, fleshy, evergreen leaves with reddish-purple tips. In mid to late summer a thick flower stalk will emerge from the center of the rosette and be topped with several small pink flowers.

Hens and chicks are monocarpic, meaning that once the flower, they will die. The mother “hen” prior to flowering, will produce several horizontal offshoots, the “chicks”. The chicks will establish their own root systems and become independent of the mother plant. As the chicks grow, they will quickly fill in the space left behind by the mother plant and form dense colonies.

You will receive 5 assorted size rosettes. Each rosette will measure 2”-5”.

Growing Zones 3-8

Attributes: drought tolerant, low maintenance, tolerates poor soils, cold hardy, deer and rabbit resistant, good for groundcover, rock gardens and succulent gardens, attracts bees and butterflies

Full sun to partial shade in most well-drained soils.

All succulents are shipped bare root, carefully wrapped in tissue paper. Upon receiving your order, please open quickly and follow planting instructions included.

Shipping to all zones April 1st to October 15th

Local pickup available in Selah Washington April 1st-October 15th
